SHAH Alam City Council (MBSA) has launched the SmartQ system, which is aimed at accelerating the process of issuing official documents while enhancing transparency, accuracy and efficiency in local government operations.
Acting deputy mayor Madiyan Baweh (pic) said the adoption of the ISO-certified document management system would lead to significant improvements, including reduced document retrieval times and reliance on physical documents, as well as cost savings.
“These advancements are expected to enhance productivity and drive greater organisational effectiveness, supporting MBSA’s commitment to greater efficiency and accountability in its operations,” he said in a Bernama report.
The SmartQ system would streamline workflow processes tied to ISO document management, covering version control, periodic reviews and approval protocols.
“It also simplifies the organisation, storage and control of key records related to audits, compliance and risk management,” said Madiyan.
“This initiative reflects MBSA’s commitment to modernising its ISO management practices and enhancing public service delivery, which aligns with the national agenda for driving digital transformation,” he noted.
