THE Farmhouse Collection range of furniture by Fella Design has been created to suit Malaysian tastes.
Fella Design group chief executive officer Yu Kong Cing said the collection was divided into three concepts – Classic Cottage, Rustic Farmhouse and Modern Farmhouse, aimed to match the needs of the different market segments.
“Each concept is curated to combine traditional sensibility with contemporary flair.
“The collection features iconic Chesterfield buttons, classic familiarity and timeless elegance,” he said during the Fella Design Farmhouse Open Day at its revamped showroom on Lorong Gopeng, Taman Golf in Ipoh, Perak.
“Malaysians, in general, love the greenery and I think the collection is suitable for all.
“We used to have a more traditional and classical look to our furniture.
“We have now toned it down to plain colours but with modern and sleek-looking designs,” said Yu.
“We can also customise the fabrics with a wide range of colours and designs to match our customers’ preferences.”
He said the collection would be showcased at all 16 Fella Design showrooms nationwide.
Yu said the collection was first exhibited at its headquarters in Shah Alam, Selangor, followed by Juru in Penang, Bangi in Selangor and Taman Seputeh in Kuala Lumpur.
“The Ipoh showroom is our fifth location to showcase the collection.
“The plan is to transform all our outlets, probably in the second quarter,” he added.
Senior operations manager J. Jeya Kumar said Fella Design showrooms no longer just showcased products, as the furniture is now set in various settings.
He said customers could view the furniture in the setting of a bedroom, living room or dining room.
“We have done the mix-and-match (of furniture) to make the shopping experience easier for our customers.
“Our showrooms will be a one-stop centre,” said Jeya Kumar.
“So far, we have the three exclusive concepts and it will be expanded.
“Since the collection was launched last year, the response has been very positive,” he said. ― By IVAN LOH
