IT IS encouraging and commendable that rainwater harvesting is taking off in Selangor, spurred on by the example of the local authorities.
Organisations, high-end condominiums and residential developments are now seeing and reaping the environmental benefits and savings from rainwater harvesting. These are, however, on a major scale and involve much engineering and costs and the system is installed during the construction stage, not after.
