Jakim says has action plan to tackle halal meat cartel


PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) has prepared an action plan to address the smuggling of non-certified meat into the country, says its deputy director-general (operations) Datuk Abdul Aziz Jusoh.

He said discussions would be held with the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry, Malaysian Quarantine Inspection Services Department (Maqis) and the Customs Department on Jan 5,2021.
