Hajiji urges govt to ensure Sabah medical facilities are tip-top

KOTA KINABALU: The Federal Government should ensure that medical facilities in Sabah are optimal so that the people can receive better services, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor (pic).

The Sabah Chief Minister said the state government is aware of equipment at hospitals in the state that has surpassed its 'life span' and hopes to see it replaced with new ones.

"The state government's wish is to see more specialist hospitals and medical facilities developed as well as for more specialist doctors so the people in Sabah can be served effectively.

"This includes upgrading public health clinics across the state for rural folk," he said during the Sedafiat Sdn Bhd awards ceremony 2023 on Monday (Nov 27) night.

Hajiji said Sabah welcomed the 2024 Budget, which allocated RM150 mil to build five new health clinics, including one on Mantanani Island in Kota Belud.
