MALAYSIANS consume just too much sugar - about nine tablespoons a day compared to three by people in other countries.
“The average intake is about 50gm of sugar a day but Malaysians consume 125gm daily. That is about two-and-a-half times more than the norm,” Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said.
