KOTA KINABALU: Concerns over the continued survival of the highly-endangered Sumatran rhino in Sabah was among the key reasons why the state rejected a proposed coal-fired power plant in Lahad Datu.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjum said the decision was not an easy one as Sabah was facing an acute power supply shortfall.
