ILLEGAL hawkers are still operating outside the wet market on Jalan Bunga Raya, Bukit Mertajam, despite having been issued several summonses by the Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) enforcement division.
MPSP councillor Oon Neow Aun said many of them simply did not respect MPSP and in view of this, he had directed the enforcement officials to step up licensing checks or find ways to legalise the hawkers.
