MALACCA: Unlike other sports, competitive swimming requires parental support to a greater extent especially when talented potentials are young.
This support was very much evident for a group of swimmers from Muar, Johor, between the ages of 10 and 18. Since late last year, the group makes it to the Malacca City Council Pool in Jalan Kota here daily to train under Malacca coach Ng Yau Fatt, a top state swimmer in the 1990s.
