Wood carvers form association

IN A bid to promote and preserve the art of wood carving in Malaysia, the Malaysia Wood Carvers Art Enthusiasts Association (Pengukir) was launched recently at the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation in Kompleks Kraf, Kuala Lumpur.

Pengukir was formally established on May 9 by the Registrar of Societies with 31 registered members from the wood-carving industry.
