EXPANSION works can finally be carried out at the Kwan Yin Tong Temple in Gunung Rapat with the state government granting the popular place of worship and tourist attraction in Ipoh, the land title for the 1.62ha around it.
Temple committee chairman Liew Yin said the committee had been applying for the land since 2005 without much success until they sought help from state Non-Islamic Affairs committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, two years ago.
