INSTEAD of being dried for use in the timber industry, the trunk of the oil palm has potential to generate income if its sap is drained.

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Institute of Graduate Studies deputy dean (Student Affairs) Prof Othman Sulaiman said the potential to convert oil palm waste into profit has yet to be fully tapped.
