Fruit and vegetable farmers still use methods from the 60s and 70s


KULAIJAYA: Vegetable and fruit farmers here are facing outdated agricultural techniques and the lack of proper equipment needed to compete with farmers from other areas nationwide.

Kulai Vegetables Farmers Association chairman Liew Chow Kong said the district was one of the largest producers of fresh fruits and vegetables for the local market and Singapore, but most of them were still using old farming methods.
