Sirim-led task force to address safety standards on products

KULAIJAYA: The State government will form a taskforce involving several government agencies to tackle consumer woes in Johor.

Johor Domestic Trade, Consumerism and Tourism exco Datuk Tee Siew Kiong said consumers in the state are still lacking in knowledge in terms of their rights and the importance of purchasing Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (Sirim) approved products.
