PRAWNING is the art of gentle fishing. Like tai chi, there are a lot of slow and gentle movements in this activity as the prawn’s mouth is delicate, soft and easy to tear with a sudden tug.

I picked up prawning some 20 years ago when my fishing buddy, Sam Cheong, took me to Sungai Dulang in Teluk Intan, then known as Teluk Anson, to introduce the art of catching prawn.
