Village looks brighter after joint cleanup campaign


SOME 50 members from the World Mission Society Church of God in Gelugor, Penang, spent their Sunday cleaning up a century-year-old village at Kampung Sirih in Pulau Tikus.

The three-hour gotong-royong, which started at 9am, saw mem-bers of the church and Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) workers cleaning up the village which had abandoned chicken coops, broken glass and planks.
