ST NICHOLAS Home Penang will celebrate White Cane Day on Saturday to recognise the significance of the white cane and to promote awareness of the blind and visually impaired (BVI).
Themed ‘Access is a Right’, the event will be held at Upper Penang Road from 7.30am to 12.00pm. The first celebration of ‘White Cane Day’ was held on Oct 15, 1986.
