Varsity-industry mismatch


THE problem of unemployment among graduates is caused by a major mismatch between universities and industry, said Pristine Group managing director Tan Sri Dr Lau Ban Tin. 

Dr Lau rationalised, in his session on Pitfalls of graduates in seeking employment, that 95,000 graduates were unable to secure jobs although there were plenty of vacancies published in daily newspapers because of job-hopping.
