Sunway College is once again offering a unique June intake to students, thanks to the close ties fostered with the government of Western Australia.

This intake, officiated by the Investment and Trade Commissioner for the Government of Western Australia in ASEAN, creates new opportunities for school leavers to experience one of the top AUSMAT programmes available worldwide.

For over 30 years, Sunway College’s AUSMAT programme has offered the highest standards of Australian education, with over 125 world awards to date.

AUSMAT is the largest provider in the world of the Western Australian Year 12 syllabus, and AUSMAT students regularly achieve outstanding results, garnering many scholarship offers and book prizes from Australian and international universities.

In addition to academic results, AUSMAT at Sunway College leads the way in digital technology, ensuring its students have access to the most conducive environment and tools possible for learning.

It has been awarded the gold award for Best Smart School at the EduTECH Asia 2019 awards in Singapore, and continuing its technological advancement, with 21 AUSMAT lecturers being recognised as Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts.

Sunway AUSMAT offers a wide variety of subjects, hundreds of subject combinations, and virtually unlimited flexibility for students to discover and pursue academic and career interests.

AUSMAT Sunway College director and its Pre-University Studies assistant director Vanitha Satchithanadan said: "Weathering the storms of uncertainty over the past few years and coming out on top, our AUSMAT students and lecturers have proven that our programme is truly the best gateway to the broader international academic world.

“Watching our students grow and mature, both academically as well as in strength of character, gives me complete confidence that our graduates who progressed into universities all across the globe are more than a match for any challenges the future may bring.".

AUSMAT graduates achieve international recognition in the form of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE), which over the years has granted its students access to top tiers universities all over the world – from Japan to the US, Singapore to the UK – and every continent between.

The AUSMAT programme’s German pathway also provides a unique opportunity for students to enter prestigious German universities via the German University Preparatory Course.

It also includes a robust German language programme that ensures students are fully prepared for their European adventure.

“AUSMAT does not just develop you academically, it develops you as a person,” says Chirag Malani, an AUSMAT Top 1% achiever who is currently pursuing the German Bridging Course in Carl Duisberg Centren Cologne, Germany.

“The programme offered me numerous opportunities to understand and expand my potential as a student, team member and mentor, among others.

“This was all done in a highly supportive environment. There is always someone to turn to when you need it.”

After graduating from AUSMAT, students who prefer to pursue their undergraduate studies locally can opt for the QS 5-star rated Sunway University as a premium choice, as it partners and collaborates with the world’s leading institutions in providing top quality education.

These include the University of Cambridge, Harvard University, University of Oxford, University of California Berkeley, Lancaster University, Le Cordon Bleu and Alibaba Business School.

To continue nurturing well-rounded individuals, Sunway College is pioneering Pre-U LEADS – a co-curricular programme aims to support students’ holistic development for personal growth and success by equipping them with necessary life skills beyond their academic achievements.

Students will learn skills in the field of environment and sustainability, financial literacy, digital literacy and youth leadership.

With the aim of producing socially responsible leaders of tomorrow, the fundamental spirit of #CampusWithAConscience is at the heart Sunway Campus Life as they educate, encourage, and engage all aspects of their diverse community to adopt a lifestyle that create a better living environment for this generation and generations to come.
