The state-of-the-art Financial Dealing Room at Henley Business School.
Established in 1945, the Henley Business School is ranked in the Top 10 of UK Business Schools, according to the Financial Times European Business School Rankings 2021 – and among the 100 or so elite business schools in the world with triple-crown accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the European Foundation for Management Development Quality Improvement System and the Association of MBAs – in recognition of the quality of its teaching and research.
The Malaysia campus offers four undergraduate degrees:
- Accounting and Finance, offered in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, better known as ICAEW.
- Finance and Business Management, which is validated and listed as a University Affiliation Programme of CFA Institute, USA.
- Real Estate, which carries professional recognition in Malaysia, the UK and Singapore.
- Business and Management, with a focus on entrepreneurship and the digital economy.
Leading law school
The University of Reading is ranked in the Top 175 in the world for law, according to the Times Higher Education Subject Ranking 2022. The School of Law at the Malaysia campus is the only full three-year international law degree provider in Malaysia and offers the same Bachelor of Laws degree as the UK campus.
Successful pursuit of the degree in Malaysia also qualifies graduates to pursue the Bar Practice Course recognised by the Bar Standards Board UK with a view to qualifying as a barrister, or the Legal Practice Course, with a view to qualifying as a solicitor by the Solicitors Regulation Authority UK.
Top 5 UK School of the Built Environment
The university’s School of the Built Environment is ranked fifth in the UK for ‘Building’, according to the Complete University Guide 2022. In Malaysia, students can study the School’s flagship Quantity Surveying programme, which has produced many outstanding industry leaders and globally accredited and recognised by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Institute of Building, Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia and Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors. PAQS accreditation includes recognition from over 10 further professional bodies covering countries such as Australia, China, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand, making it particularly appealing to those planning to work overseas.
A hundred years at the forefront of psychology
In 2021, the university celebrated its centenary year for psychology, making the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences one of the oldest and most established of its kind. The university ranks in the Top 150 in the world for psychology in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject (2022).
The campus in Malaysia offers the three-year Psychology degree and four-year Psychology with Professional Placement degree, which are the same as that offered on the UK campus. As both programmes are accredited by the British Psychological Society, graduates are eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership and access to postgraduate training courses in the UK and elsewhere. This is particularly important to become professional psychologists, where postgraduate and doctoral study is generally recommended.

Those with IGCSE, SPM or equivalent qualifications can enrol on the 12-month International Foundation Programme (IFP) which provides a pathway to their chosen degree. Those with A-Level, UEC and equivalent qualifications can apply for direct entry to Year One of their undergraduate degree.
