THE School of Law at the University of Reading Malaysia campus saw the graduation of its inaugural batch of students recently in August.
As a branch campus, the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree is the same as that offered at the University of Reading’s UK campus.
The School of Law at Reading University is known for its leading research in areas such as commercial and international law, and the law degree is ranked Top 25 in the UK for course satisfaction according to the Guardian League Table 2022.
The inaugural batch of law students graduated this August 2022.
Provost Prof Wing Lam congratulated the first batch of graduates on their achievement: “I’m extremely proud of our first graduating cohort of law students. They have a real passion for law and have set a high bar in terms of their academic excellence, dedication, soft skills and professionalism.”
The law programme was first launched at the Malaysian campus in September 2019. Since then, the Law school has gone from strength to strength. The programme is fully-accredited by MQA and also qualifies graduates to pursue the Bar Practice Course (BPC) recognised by the Bar Standards Board UK with a view to qualifying as a barrister.
