THE recent issue involving a Muslim-only SPM workshop for students of a girls’ school in Johor has come to an end with Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek assuring Malaysians that such an incident would never happen again in our education system, as serious action would be taken against any school that discriminates against students (No room for discrimination in education, says Fadhlina, The Star, Feb 4).

Sadly, we have become so used to seeing various forms of injustices, such as well-deserving students missing out on scholarships and university placements.
