Edu Ministry improves assessment system to meet heavy user load

PETALING JAYA: The Education Ministry has taken several measures to improve the functionality of its Integrated Assessment Management System (SPPB) in response to the high volume of user access, leading to system slowdowns.

In a statement on Thursday (11 Jan), it said these measures involved improving and optimising the programming code, increasing server capacity and performing server configuration tuning.

"The ministry is concerned about the difficulties faced by teachers in relation to the use of the SPPB.

"Monitoring of the SPPB operations is continuously carried out through the Application Performance Monitoring (APM) system.

"Monitoring found that the system slowed down because of an increase in user access," the statement read.

SPPB is a comprehensive assessment management system for all types of assessments related to the ministry.

The statement said the ministry would continuously enhance the system's operations with the aim of simplifying teachers' tasks.

Any questions or complaints in relation to SPPB can be submitted to the ministry’s hotline at 03-8884 3632 or through the ICT Service Desk (ISD) https://isd.moe.gov.my/.
