KLANG: The 16-year-old student involved in a sexual harassment case against his teacher has been given full protection, says Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
She also said that he has been given access to psycho-social services, as per Ministry guidelines.

Fadhlina said this after meeting Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) 2023 candidates at Kolej Islam Sultan Alam Shah on Tuesday (March 26).
She was responding to the student’s claim of a romantic encounter with his female mathematics teacher.
The case had sparked a police investigation into allegations of a sexual relationship.
The student arrived home with red marks on his neck, attributing them to a kiss from the teacher.
There were also viral messages between the two declaring their love for each other.
The teacher could also be seen responding in one of the messages, saying that she was flattered by the constant love declarations from the student.
On Monday (March 25), the ministry said action has been taken against the teacher according to its guidelines.
Prior to this, Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said on Sunday (March 24) that the police were alerted to the case after the student’s mother lodged a police report on Dec 12 last year.
We received a report from the 46-year-old woman after she noticed her son had red marks on his neck,” he said in a statement on Monday.
“The boy was supposed to have gone home but claimed to be at the library with the teacher.
“The boy claimed that he was hugged and kissed by the teacher, which led to the marks on his neck,” said ACP Wan Kamarul, adding that the teacher has been identified as a 37-year-old woman.
He said the victim has been referred to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
“We have opened investigations under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act for physical sexual assault on a child.
“We can also confirm that several postings on social media over the sexual misconduct of a female teacher on a male student are true,” he said.
ACP Wan Kamarul added that the police are in the midst of completing the investigation paper before handing it over to the deputy public prosecutor’s office for further action.
He urged the public to refrain from speculating and sharing unverified information on the matter.
