Congratulations: The nine ESP scholars posing with (seated, from second left) Malaysia Airports senior general manager (commercial services) Hani Ezra Hussin, chief human capital officer Nadiah Tan Abdullah, managing director Datuk Mohd Izani Ghani, and covering group chief financial officer Zeid Abdul Razak during the awards ceremony on Oct 11.

NINE exceptional tertiary students have been selected for the Malaysia Airports Educational Scholarship Programme (ESP) 2024.

The programme includes soft skills training to enhance critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities, along with networking opportunities to engage directly with management and industry experts.

The scholars, Shazan Muthuraman, Myra Safiyya Syahaizel, Hannah Atiqah Zulhazame, Adam Zukhaire, Nurmaisarah Azmanizam, Fariz Daniel Hazry, T.S. Nandhana Shankara, Muhammad Nabil Narman, and Yee Ann Jee, will also benefit from career mentorship and knowledge-sharing sessions with employed alumni, ensuring a strong support system as they prepare for their future careers.

Through the ESP, scholars will receive comprehensive support, including coverage for registration and tuition fees, living allowance, book allowance, and funding for their thesis and project papers.

Additionally, they will each receive a laptop to facilitate their studies and enhance their learning experience.

These scholars will have access to internship opportunities and semester break assignments at Malaysia Airports.

This year, Malaysia Airports received 432 applications from students across various institutions and fields.

Malaysia Airports managing director Datuk Mohd Izani Ghani said the ESP, which has been instrumental in nurturing 54 outstanding students since its inception in 2010, is not just about offering financial support but the programme is an investment in the potential of youths to drive transformation and progress for both Malaysia Airports and the country.

“Our aim is to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to excel in their chosen fields,” he said in a press release dated Oct 11.
