Access to good-quality education could have an enormous impact on children’s lives.
When these children grow up, they may become government ministers, shaping policies that influence our society and communities, said Taylor’s Education Group (TEG) chairman Datuk Loy Teik Ngan.
“Every child deserves access to quality education. The impact goes far beyond financial benefits – it is deeply communal and has the potential to drive significant improvements for the nation,” he added during a partnership signing ceremony between Gamuda Land and TEG at Bandar Gamuda Gardens, Rawang, on Nov 15, 2024.
Gamuda Land and TEG have partnered to establish affordable secondary and primary international schools within Gamuda Land’s townships, namely, Gamuda Gardens and Gamuda Cove.
The first school under this collaboration is set to launch in Gamuda Gardens, with plans for a second school to follow in Gamuda Cove.
Pending licensing approvals, both schools are projected to open in January 2026.Gamuda Land chief executive officer Chu Wai Lune said the property developer was investing between RM30mil and RM40mil on a purpose-built school designed to Taylor’s specifications, as well as an initial population of about 850 students.
Designed to follow international standards, the school will emphasise a balanced approach to academics, sports, arts and character development, ensuring students are able to thrive in an interconnected world, said Taylor’s Education Private Limited president Karl Engkvist.
“Our curriculum instils critical thinking and integrates teaching and learning technologies to align with Malaysia’s growing industries,” he said, adding that project-based learning and innovative tools, such as AI-driven tutoring, will enable students to become adaptable and well-prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.
