WITH around 2.01 billion Muslims in the world, the halal market is large and growing. Malaysians too are a rising group of Muslim consumers.

According to a 2022 report by Wunderman Thompson Intelligence, in Malaysia and Indonesia, the halal market is especially thriving among the younger generation of Muslims, who are shaped by a heady combination of “a resurgence of faith and the spread of Western-style consumerism.”
