Slippery slopes in Alaska

JAMES and Bill Montivér had just packed up their home on a steep road in Ketchikan, Alaska – a fishing community turned cruise ship stop – when a terrifying screech ripped through the sound of pounding rain.

Bill, who was scrubbing the kitchen cabinets, shouted and dropped to the floor as the house began to shake.
