‘Buy-house-gets-wife' widow welcomes offers from Malaysian men

A widow from Indonesia is open to offers from Malaysian bachelors after posting an advert online, which has since gone viral, to sell her house and marry the right buyer. Wina Lia, 40, said her priority for her "buy-house-gets-wife" offer is compatibility. "If I am fated to be with a Malaysian bachelor who is interested to buy my house and willing to marry me, why not?" she said. The price for the 523 sq m house is about RM282,600. The widow, who has two children, aged 21 and 14, has received more than 600 offers expressing interests, including men from Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong.

A man's curiosity led him to a shocking discovery on Thursday where a group of monitor lizards were seen fighting over a female dead body in Kampung Raja Bashah, Kuala Kurau. Relating the incident, the unnamed man said he saw the reptiles fighting over a big object close to a nipah tree. He then decided to take a closer look to find out what the object was. "The monitor lizards ran away when I approached them. I was shocked when I saw the object was actually a dead body and quickly ran to notify the others," he said. Police arrived at the scene and it was found that the corpse was already decaying, and that the reptiles had eaten some parts of the flesh.
