Merbau tree planted to mark 50 years of diplomatic ties between Poland and M'sia

KUALA LUMPUR: A Merbau teak tree, Malaysia's national tree, has been planted at Taman Tugu here to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Malaysia.

The tree was planted by Poland's Ambassador to Malaysia Prof Krzysztof Debnicki together with Foreign Ministry Europe Division undersecretary Datuk Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak and Khazanah Nasional Berhad director Calvin Jacob on Tuesday (Nov 30).
