A MALAYSIAN man’s holiday in Japan was ruined after he fell sick from eating a handful of snow, reported Oriental Daily.
The man, whose handle on TikTok is @hermanrawl, said he was excited when he saw snow during his recent trip to Japan and decided to shove a snowball into his mouth.
However, he paid a heavy price for satiating his curiosity.
“After that, I suffered from a runny nose, cough, fever and aches for the next eight days of my trip in Japan. My whole itinerary was disrupted,” he said.
He warned others not to attempt to eat snow like he did.
Experts were reported to have warned tourists not to eat snow during winter.
According to them, snow could have absorbed pollutants in the air such as pesticides, soot and even formaldehyde.

The woman, who suffers from high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high blood sugar, sought the shaman’s help to cure her condition.
The shaman claimed that she could recover just by drinking water, without any medicine.
The woman, whose surname was Liu, bought seven litres of mineral water and drank it all in just half a day.
She soon fainted and was rushed to hospital by family members, where she was placed on a ventilator.
She was diagnosed with water poisoning after it was found that her blood sodium level was way below the normal range.
Liu is now in stable condition.
