KUCHING: An 8km-long diversion channel will be built in Matang to divert water to the sea under a proposed multimillion-ringgit city flood mitigation project.
Work to dig the first 2km channel under Phase One is now underway. The proposed channel, which will bypass the city, will measure 250m in width.
