MELBOURNE: The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is helping Malaysian and Indonesian agencies after two boats were reported being in distress, the Australian Associated Press (AAP) reports.
Hundreds of people believed to be heading to Australia are reportedly aboard the vessels, but there is no confirmation at this stage that they are asylum seekers.
