GEORGE TOWN: The Penang state government has denied that the state-appointed imam had dropped the name of the King and replaced it with Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s name during this week’s Friday prayer.
State executive councillor Abdul Malik Abul Kassin said such talk could have originated from certain committee members of mosques who were out to sabotage the state government’s religious programmes.
