Difficult to detect fake DP stamps on beer cans


PETALING JAYA: Beer smugglers have managed to replicate the high quality Malaysia duty paid (DP) stamps on beer cans to the point that even Customs officers are unable to distinguish the fakes from the real ones without proper equipment.

Customs Department assistant director- general (enforcement) Datuk Zainul Abidin Taib said the stamp issued by the department was affixed across the pull tab of the can.
