Ex-ISA detainee Yazid, acquaintance charged with inciting terrorist acts


KUALA LUMPUR: Former Internal Security Act detainee Yazid Sufaat, 49, was charged at the Ampang Magistrate's Court here Friday with inciting terrorist acts at a house in Ampang between August and October 2012.

In the charge read out by Magistrate Zulyana Zollkapli, Yazid was alleged to have "threatened the public in Syria" with these acts, the penalty for which is up to 30 years jail and a fine. He was charged under Section 130G(a) of the Penal Code.
