Group gathers in KL to protest overthrow of Egypt’s Morsi

The group comprised of non-governmental organisations such as Ikram, Angkatan Belia Islam and Haluan as well as PAS and PKR.
"We condemn, in the gravest of terms, the bloody attacks that left tens of peaceful protestors dead and hundreds injured in the past days," said Ikram president Dr Parid Sheikh Ahmad on Tuesday.
Dr Parid and three other representatives gave a memorandum to representatives of the Egypt Embassy in Malaysia here.
Among the demands stated in the memorandum are to reinstate Mohammed Morsi and for the Egyptian Army to cease all forms of cruelty and murder on the Egyptian people immediately.
More than 30 people were killed and more than 1,000 injured in Friday's violence following the ousting of Morsi.

The army removed Mr Morsi from power on Wednesday after millions of people protested over his leadership.
