Lam Thye: Fast-track Animal Welfare Bill


PETALING JAYA: The Animal Welfare Bill needs to be fast-tracked to Parliament if Malaysia aims to be a developed, caring and compassionate nation, said Selangor Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) patron Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.

He said the time had come for Malaysia to commit itself to implementing international and humane animal welfare standards strengthened by universal human values.
