Hungarian backpacker arrested over thefts

GEORGE TOWN: A 61-year-old Hungarian backpacker wanted for thefts at luxury hotels here has been nabbed while cycling in Tanjung Bungah.

Two hotel security managers who were on their way for a meeting in Batu Ferringhi tailed the man after they recognised him from CCTV footage.
