New car window tint regulation to take effect Nov 1


MALACCA: The new regulation on tinting for car windscreens and windows will be enforced beginning Nov 1, according to the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

JPJ director-general Datuk Seri Ismail Ahmad said the new regulation would set the permitted visible light transmission (VLT) for the rear windscreen and rear passenger windows at 30%, down from the current 50%.
