NEW YORK: Malaysia looks certain to get a seat in the United Nations Security Council. Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman was getting congratulatory messages even before the announcement.
As the votes were being tallied at the UN headquarters (late last night, Malaysian time), Malaysia was already long seen by many as a shoo-in for one of the five non-permanent Council seats for the 2015-2016 term.
