Kelantan concludes first all-women netball tourney in the country amid criticisms

KOTA BARU: The recently concluded Kelantan Beliawanis netball championship – held in 14 parliamentary constituencies in the state – became the first ever netball competition in the country that barred men as spectators.

The decision by the PAS-led state government to ban males from watching the all-women competition has drawn flak from some quarters who say the move promotes segregation and retards the development of the sport.
