MIRI: The six biggest timber consortium towkays in Sarawak have personally given Tan Sri Adenan Satem pledges to help stop corrupt practices and illegal logging in the state.

Speaking at a Chinese New Year gathering organised by the Sarawak United Peoples Party in Miri City last night, the Chief Minister said the personal guarantee from the six mega tycoons would go a long way in helping him realise his aim of eradicating corrupt practices in the multimillion-Ringgit timber industry.
