MAS didn’t talk to us, say unions

Destination unknown: MAS unions and staff have raised concerns over the lack of transparency in the troubled company’s restructuring process.

SEPANG: Malaysia Airlines unions claim that they have not been consulted over the restructuring process under which about a quarter of the 20,000-strong workforce will be laid off.

“We are concerned about the way it is being done. There has been no consultation or assurances over the fate of the workers,” said National Union of Flights Attendant Malaysia (Nufam) president Ismail Nasaruddin.
