BANGI: The Permata Pintar programme is beginning to show results with more than 90% of students who have attended Permata’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programme opting to study fundamental rather than applied sciences and mathematics.

The Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, who is also the Permata Programme patron, said these students were now studying in various universities in the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia.
