MalaysiaKini articles lacked medical basis, court told


KUALA LUMPUR: MalaysiaKini’s reports on the health problems of residents near the Raub gold mine lacked medical basis, a health consultant told the High Court here.

Dr Penelope Gillett, the third witness in Raub Australian Gold Mining Sdn Bhd’s defamation suit against MKini Dotcom Sdn Bhd, said the survey used as a basis for some of the publisher’s articles was unsound and unproven.
