GEORGE TOWN: Beach-goers in Batu Ferringhi who were assailed by a foul stench were surprised to find that it came from a decomposing carcass of a 1.5m-long animal believed to be a dugong.
Batu Ferringhi Community Security and Development Committee member R. Shivakumar said no injuries were visible on the carcass.
