KUALA LUMPUR: Ignorance and delay in seeking medical help were the common reasons for loss of sight among patients with eye diseases, said a specialist.
Dr Choong Yean Yaw, medical director of KPJ Centre for Sight, said many people were blinded by manageable diseases like cataract, simply because they had ignored the symptoms or discomfort for too long.
