Shahrom is first Malaysian to ski to South Pole

PUTRAJAYA: National explorer Shahrom Abdullah successfully completed a Malaysian Seven Contingents Exploration Club (KE7B) expedition to reach the South Pole in a record 37 days.

Expedition adviser Datuk Akmar Hisham Mohd Yusof said Shahrom, 36, reached the landmark zero degree point of the South Pole at 4.30am on Saturday, Malaysian time (5.30pm on Friday, South Pole time).
