Ex-MB Khir freed on parole


SHAH ALAM: Former Selangor mentri besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo (pic) has been released on parole after serving half of his one-year prison term for corruption and will be restricted here and in Petaling Jaya for the next two months.

According to his close friend Ab Jalil Backer, Dr Mohd Khir’s wife Zahrah Kechik, 50, signed the necessary documents at the Parole Centre in Meru, Klang, earlier yesterday before picking him up.
